Every good and perfect gift is from above. – James 1:17
Looking back on my life at a season that began in the snow-heaped streets of New York City and is wrapping up in the sun-drenched hills of southern New Mexico, these are some of the things I’m most thankful for (not necessarily in order of importance):

Dancing with ‘roos in Australia. Such characters, these three. Maybe they were hoping for snacks?
1– Sharing a bus seat with a guy and his chickens in Mexico and dancing with kangaroos in Australia.
2– The fact that even now, in late November, I’m still wearing sandals and there’s not a snowflake in sight.
3-Truly yum sushi and sashimi.
4-The gift that was my mother.
5-Seeing the sunset in nineteen countries with the hopeful expectation of seeing the same in many more.
6-Having worshipped with Maori in New Zealand, Irish and English in Wales, and folks from just about everywhere at the Brooklyn Tabernacle.
7-Truly great cannoli.
8-My relationship with my husband – my sweetheart and best friend.

Oh, yeah, I missed my ferry, took a later one. But most importantly, I missed the guard rail.
9-Being spared from going down an embankment on a deserted stretch of highway near Dover, England when, while speeding to catch a ferry to Belgium, I didn’t quite make the turn.
10-My relationship with the One Who made all the preceding possible and cares for me with the forever kind of love.
Happy Thanksgiving!
